All a flower wants to do is bloom. To hold the flower as it naturally exists is to embrace it's thorny nature. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, pain is in the hands of he who attempts to steal this beauty. "roses" is an EP that takes the listener on a journey from dusk to dawn. While the opening track "the nightshift" serves as a metaphor for the struggles of the 99% and the perpetual darkness the working class lives in, the closing track "see through" is the light at the end of the tunnel. "roses" are the flowers of love. These are my roses for you. A thank you, a love you, with a handwritten note of introspection, outrospection, and hope.
