Trapped at Toll gate subtly refers to artists who struggles to make the transition from a daily hustler from the block to the music business, while struggling being stuck in their old ways of trapping. The price paid on the way to success remains unending especially in a country like Nigeria where DIY is must. This release is an extract from what would have been an Album between Abramsoul and TIA which they started creating during the End Sars period, though the EP draws inspiration from that harsh era in Nigerian youth history, both artists didn’t make direct comment on the situation, rather took the luxury of time of the period to experiment with new music directions.
